EMPLOYMENT, HOUSING, TAX, HEALTHCARE, ENTERTAINMENT and much more…..
The “i am not a tourist” Expat Fair is the biggest expat-oriented event in the Netherlands. Up until now the event has been held once a year in Amsterdam. This year, for the first time, the event will also be held in Eindhoven.
The “i am not a tourist” Expat Fair Eindhoven is a prime opportunity for the expat community in the South of the Netherlands to learn more about life in the ‘low lands’. The historical VDMA area in the city centre of Eindhoven, brings 50 exhibitors and more than 1,500 internationals together for information, orientation and business networking.
Those who are new to the Netherlands, and in particular the Brainport Eindhoven Region, will benefit from an introduction to Housing, Employment, Banking, Insurance, Tax, Education and Entrepreneurship services and opportunities on offer to internationals. Alongside this there will be an entertaining programme of performances and workshops throughout the day.
Have a chat with a recruitment agent, get some advice on house hunting or banking, join a group or club, or just take the chance to mix with thousands of like-minded internationals.
SPOUSE CAREER EVENT
Alongside the “i am not a tourist” Expat Fair, the Spouse Career Event will take place, co-organized together with Expat Spouses Initiative. This is an ideal event for expat partners looking to pursue an international career or who are searching for a volunteering position in the Netherlands.
A range of exhibitors will be present, looking to recruit and provide information about the Dutch job market. Meet representatives from some of the main industries such as High Tech Systems & Materials, Food, Automotive, Life Sciences and Design, or offer your knowledge or assistant to one of the non-profit organisations who will be in attendance.
OPENING INTERNATIONAL BOULEVARD
Attend the festive opening of the International Boulevard (Vestdijk) on June 12, in Eindhoven. Held alongside the “i am not a tourist” Expat Fair and the Spouse Career Event, The International Festival will be open to visitors. With market stalls, and a performance stage in The Hub, the festival will be a vibrant addition to the day.
If you’re feeling peckish or are in need of some retail therapy, take the chance to sample various types of cuisine and beverages, purchase hand-made products, art, jewellery and other crafts while listening to live music and a multicultural environment.
Shake up your world and broaden your horizon through discovering what’s going on in the rest of the expat community.
